Smartspace Monitoring
Independently tested and certified for accuracy, Smartspace is designed for situations where parking is free but time limited. It improves the availability of parking and provides increased visibility to enforcement staff of infringing vehicles which significantly increases infringement derived revenue.
Sensor units able to detect the presence or absence of a vehicle are located in each bay and programmed for the applicable maximum allowable parking time. When that time (plus any grace period) expires the unit signals a handheld transceiver carried by enforcement staff to alert them to the location of the infringing vehicle. Smartspace Monitoring may also be adapted for use with disabled or other specific needs parks.
Smartspace Monitoring is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and if required may be combined with Smartspace Guidance and like the rest of the Metereye range interfaces into RepNet to provide full processing, reporting, analysis and management facilities.
Smartspace Guidance
Available as a standalone guidance system or with full reporting and management, Smartspace Guidance uses ground mounted sensor units located in each bay, optionally with or without overhead LED indicators to guide parkers to vacant parking bays. The sensors may also interface to digital signage which can be used to display the number of available spaces in any given aisle, area or entire facility. This allows available parking to be utilised more effectively while reducing congestion and maximising occupancy.
Smartspace Guidance is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications as well as “on-road” applications and if required may be combined with Smartspace Monitoring and infringement and like the rest of the Metereye range interfaces into RepNet to provide full processing, reporting, analysis and management facilities.
Smartspace Multi Bay
Metereye and Hectronic, one of the world’s largest suppliers of on-street parking equipment, bring you a ground breaking on street multi bay solution. Smartspace Multi Bay is built upon the Smartspace Monitoring System to provide all the benefits of Pay & Display without the inconvenience of receipts or the need to return to the vehicle. Like Smartspace Monitoring it alerts enforcement staff to the location of infringing vehicles but interfaces with the Hectronic Multi Bay paid parking applications. It provides positive identification of overstayed vehicles with notification of both credit and time overstay as well as no payment.
Smartspace Multi Bay is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and if required may be combined with Smartspace Guidance. Like all Meter Systems, Smartspace Multi Bay interfaces into RepNet to provide full processing, reporting, analysis and management facilities.
Portable Parking Analysis System
As pressure on available parking from consumers and retailers alike continues to grow, the need to better understand parking behaviour has become paramount. Meter Eye’s Portable Parking Analysis System (PPAS) is a highly accurate, portable and non-invasive tool which provides councils with real time analysis over 1-5 days of parking flow and occupancy. The system uses the VDS ground units mounted on heavy duty black rubber mats which are designed to allow a vehicle to easily park over the without obstructing or reducing the available parking space. One mat is placed in each space to be monitored (1—30 is recommended).
As the VDS unit detects the arrival or departure of a vehicle it transmits that information to RepNet where it is displayed in a variety of report formats via a web based mobile interface. The client is given access to this and they may also print or download any of the reports. Once the survey is complete the data files are held for 12 months on the Metereye secure server and remain available to the client upon request.
Automated Number Plate Recognition
Meter Eye offers a fully integrated ANPR solution which interfaces seamlessly via the RepNet Reporting and Management System to support Monitoring, or Multi-bay applications. Together RepNet and ANPR provide you with absolute proof of overstay in the event of an infringement notice being challenged. With RepNet’s Number Plate Report you can report on the exact arrival and departure time of every vehicle offering indisputable verification of the data provided by the sensor units.
